AQUARIUS (Kumbha) (300°00'-330°00')

In Aquarius, the ego, having embraced altruism and shattered the personality under the Capricorn impulse, becomes a conscious cooperator with Nature. Aquarius signifies the suspension of outgoing breath, reversing involuntary impulses, and merging with the universal life-essence. The ego develops seer-will, dissolving individuality, and attains the status of an Adept.

The Aquarian impulse radiates inner brilliance, detached from external influences. Symbolized by a pitcher, it represents the ego's objective understanding of the physical self as a channel for expressing the Divine. The water flowing from the pitcher symbolizes divine beneficence used for a specific mission. At Aquarius, the ego adapts to the Divine will, expressing its uniqueness and taking charge of evolutionary streams.

Ruled by Saturn, Aquarius is unaffected by personal animosities, integrating various life principles. Water and pitcher symbolize the life-giving principle and the physical self as a means for expressing higher will. Aquarian individuals operate with inner radiance and stability.

Aquarius, operating under Vedic deity Indra, signifies the ego's arrival at maturity and perfection. Indra maintains natural harmony, counteracting Asuric forces and lending strength to restore balance. Aquarius reflects the Adepts' engagement in harmonious creative energies, contributing supramental forces for mankind's welfare.

The third quarter of Dhanistha aligns the individual with the Supreme Musician, and as the ego enters Pisces, it reunites with the cosmic energy itself.
