SEVENTH HOUSE

The Seventh House in astrology is known as Kalatra Sthanam, representing matters related to one's spouse, partnerships, the groin area, and social interactions. It serves as the polar opposite of the First House. While the First House signifies vitality and initiative, the Seventh House represents endings and dissipation, often through marital relationships and sexual enjoyment. This house indicates how an individual uses their energy and vitality.

In addition to sexual relationships, the Seventh House also involves the enjoyment of food, acquisition of beautiful possessions like clothes and perfumes, victories over enemies, and even control over the desires of others.

On a deeper level, the Seventh House represents the materiality from which the soul must transcend. It reflects the nature of one's attachments, whether to a spouse, business, social standing, or professional advancement. It's associated with desires, gambling, pride, the worldly path, and the world itself. However, from a spiritual perspective, one's life partner can be seen as a channel for fulfilling a divine purpose.

While the Seventh House represents the field of experience, the actualization of that experience is symbolized by the Tenth House, often referred to as the house of profession.
